🇺🇸 US Tour NEXT MONTH (Openers and Updates)
PLUS 'Sleep Singing (Original Soundtrack)' by Tom, and we're headed to Poland!
Our upcoming trip to North America, the Holy Smoke (2025) Tour is NEXT MONTH and we’re delighted to share info of some of the openers with you.
23 May - Foro Puebla, Mexico City (TIX)
25 May - Empire Garage, Austin TX (TIX)
27 May - The Belasco, Los Angeles CA (TIX) w/ Star 99
29 May - Metro, Chicago IL (TIX) w/ Empty Country
30 May - The King of Clubs, Columbus OH (TIX) w/ Empty Country
31 May - The Brooklyn Monarch, Brooklyn NY (TIX) w/ Empty Country
Empty Country have long been an absolute favourite of mine. Helmed by Joseph D’Agostino, formerly of contemporary indie-rock legends Cymbals Eat Guitars has released 2 albums under his EC moniker, and for me they’re his best ever work. Joe and his full band will be joining us in Chicago, Columbus and Brooklyn, check out their most recent album Empty Country II if you haven’t. As is the LC! way, this is very much an “ask the band to come on tour with you, so you can finally see them play live” move from me.
Star 99 play bottle-rocket power-pop and join us in LA! Went in blind listening to their new album Gaman and it lit me up. I started clicking around and saw that their first EP was named ‘My Year In Lists’…I mean, what else could we possibly do…? Really pleased these guys are gonna make the trip down from San Jose to join us at Belasco.

Some brief notes…
BROOKLYN - very pleased to be playing at Monarch for this one. I’ve become so sick of the monopoly that Live Nation and the Bowery Group have over New York’s venues, so surely you locals have too? As is always the case when booking shows, our agent will solicit ‘offers’ from multiple promoters and venues and then we make a decision based on a number of factors. In New York every offer from a Bowery affiliated venue was trash, insisted on 20% merch cuts, and would have been charging you guys around $15 in booking fees per ticket. Fuck that, see you in the pit at the Monarch.
MEXICO CITY - We’re very excited about our trip to CDMX, but have just heard about the tragic, avoidable deaths of two photographers at the recent AXE Ceremonia Festival. Thanks to those of you who have made us aware that our upcoming concert in Mexico City is being hosted by the same promoter as the festival. Obviously we’re deeply concerned about the whole situation, and have contacted ECO Live for a statement and more information. Please feel free to reach out to us in relation to this at band@loscampesinos.com.
Slight delay with an opener for Austin, but we’ll have that sorted for you soon (and maybe if you know any sick bands from Austin/Dallas/Houston/etc you could link us in the comments?).
I keep forgetting to compile door/stage/curfew times and other pertinent information, to allow you to plan your evening at the rock concert (and what time you need to start pre-drinking/book a babysitter for). Apologies! I’ll get this sorted in the next week, keep an eye on our socials.
This will be our last trip to the States for a while. Our visas expire in June, and with the world the way it is, we’ll be in no rush to begin the always arduous process of applying for new ones. If we didn’t already have visas in place we’d not be making this trip, but are determined to tear it up from the moment we arrive. If you can make it to one of these shows, please come out for us, and help make it a tour to remember, what achievable feeling could be better than a cold beer among friends and comrades right now?

💃🏾 Sleep Singing (Original Soundtrack) by Tom Bromley OUT NOW
Available today for the first time on streaming and vinyl (limited to just 150 copies on our very own Heart Swells label), is Tom’s soundtrack for the short-film Sleep Singing.
Tom says: “Back in May 2021, the director Bradley Porter got in touch with me to discuss the possibility of doing a score. The Short Shorts Film Festival in Tokyo were funding his pitch for a short musical and he needed some original music for it. We had a lovely chat where Bradley professed his love for musicals and i revealed my indifference towards them, but it was hard not to be excited by his idea. I don’t have a huge amount of scoring experience, and had never done anything like a dance/musical, so it felt like a big challenge, but also just a lot of fun.
And something about emerging from that second lockdown and putting all these pent-up emotions into this extravagant, visually dynamic film was a huge creative, and emotional, release for me. Getting to embrace the melodrama and bombast of a musical felt entirely in keeping with all the extremes of emotion we’d experienced over that last year or so, and i was really grateful for the opportunity and Bradley’s vision.
Anyway, we were so pleased with how it turned out that we decided to do a small physical run of the score, and it’s available now!
Thanks to Bradley for getting me involved, Angelica for her amazing vocals, and Eileen and Dora’s beautiful strings.
Mix: Gareth Bodman. Master: Simon Francis”
🇵🇱 Los Camp! at OFF Festival, Poland
We will be playing live at OFF Festival, Katowice, Poland on Friday August 1st.
The final addition to our Summer schedule (unless any other festivals come at late notice with their tail between their legs…) and we’re delighted to be invited back to this amazing fest. Our only ever previous visit to Poland was at the very same event in 2014, and we’re so pleased to be back there amongst so many great bands.
According to streaming stats, Poland is the mainland European country in which our band is most popular, so we’re very hopeful some of you Weeping Dipshits will be joining us there. We do have a few fans in Poland, right? (Tell us in the comments!)
I have it on good authority that day tickets will be available nearer the time, so please keep an eye out on the festival’s social media announcements, if that’s what you’re after.
A big recommendation from me for Liz Pelly’s book Mood Machine, which is now available to purchase worldwide. Liz’s book is a detailed insight into the detrimental impact that Spotify’s success has had on musicians, the music industry and our listening habits. Often when streaming platforms are criticised, its users can feel like they’re being chastised, but this is never the case with Liz’s incredibly accessible book, which goes to great lengths to explain the ways in which we’re all being taken for fools. Obviously it gets into the widely discussed details of streaming income, but its analysis of the ways that Spotify favours major labels and those who are willing to partake in Payola are particularly enlightening. Long time followers may be aware of my historic distaste for artists who get into bed with Spotify, and who gleefully provide free advertising for the billionaire company’s Editorial Playlists, Wrapped nonsense or corporate hook-ups. You may well feel the same after reading this excellent book (Available now at all good bookstores and online)!
Due to popular demand, Joe Munsey is silk-screening some massive A2 versions of the poster he designed for our recent Troxy Valentines 2 Night Stand. You can pick up a piece of his art here, if you were one of the people popularly demanding, all profits to the artist!
You can now grab Sparky Deathcap merchandise direct from the Los Camp! webstore. Caps, tote bags and the incredible Tear Jerky EP on phenakistoscope picture disc vinyl, available now.
Also here are some old shirt designs in minsicule (27 shirts total) and inconsistent (like, 10 of them are Party Neil in a size S) quantities that I need out of my gaff, £7.99 a pop, worldwide shipping available.
Please tell me from where I can pre-order a Switch 2 in the UK?
Nice to speak with you again,
LC! x
Very has switch 2 pre orders and so does argos they come out every now and again thats how i pre ordered mine
Managed to get mine pre-ordered from argos but I think they sold out yesterday afternoon.
As far as I can tell, EE still has some available but it's only the big £500+ bundle, so unless you actually want those accessories or are willing to try to sell them on, you're stuck reloading pages until somewhere like argos, very, EE, game, john lewis, etc.
