Would be incredibly happy if Hung Empty made its way to the setlist! Proper singalong banger. Either way, love reading these newsletters. LC!4LYF

That's one of my faves too, but we've never even so much as rehearsed it! G

Obviously, we all want you to play in our own cities and that’s the boring news. With live shows, you’re at a stage where I think you should just be doing exactly the shit you enjoy. No pandering to us weenies. You don’t do it often, so make it fun for yourselves. Get real wanky with it! Then it’s automatically fun for us.

I’d personally love an annotation to Selling Rope. I know it’s pretty self explanatory, but it’s such a beautiful, visceral, piece of writing and I just can’t imagine how you got there.

Thanks Sam! You're right on Selling Rope, I don't think there's much to add. Glad you love it though. G

If you ever fancy writing about As Lucerne / The Low, I'd be thrilled. I've literally played it whilst making terrible romantic decisions, that I KNEW would end badly. I'm not a wordy person, but that's the vibe I get from the song. True inspo, it's had my back on a number of appalling self-inflicted heartbreaks.

Such a great news letter!! Really enjoyed the read and congrats to the 10 years!!! The vinyl repress along with Robs artwork is stunning and it’s such a great way to celebrate the album B) Also with the annotating lyrics with no blues, I recently realised the reference to capel celyn in for flotsam (which I really should’ve recognised sooner) and I can’t wait to hear about let it spill. The note about live concerts is exciting as well, I can’t wait to see what setlist you guys’ll come up with! Anyway I feel like I’m rambling now but this has been fab news to start the week with! Thank you for these newsletters - LC4LYF 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Lovely news!

Think it would be great if you did something like an “un-greatest hits” show. Playing primarily album tracks and not your biggest songs. I do love those too, but getting some real deep cuts would be truly sweet.

Would be cool to get a gig at a venue that’s a bit different too. Not your usual kind of club gig (unsure how feasible that may be). Otherwise, it’s been a while since a Clwb Ifor night.

p.s. Will you be re-stocking the pink RIB t-shirt?

I second the 'un-greatest hits' thing. There's some amazing less popular songs that I feel always get ignored a little!

I'd love another two part show. One half No Blues in its entirety and then one half greatest hits. A few different dates in the UK would be lovely too

Think we're officially too old for the double shift. If we sit down in the half-time break there's no guarantee we're getting back up. G

That makes a lot of sense. In that case I'd echo what others have said - have fun with it. Do the ones that make you happy and we'll have a great time regardless.

-Annotating "Let it Spill" would be welcome. I'd love a full essay on Bela Guttmann, speaking as a mostly footy-ignorant American.

-I always wanted to see you all play (specifically, close with) "Selling Rope" at a live show.

Regarding what would be good to see at gigs, that brass group you had at the RIB shows was great and really added so much to the sound and vibe, would love something like that again. Other than that, more deep cuts are always welcome. I'm sure both old and new fans would love to hear Kayfabe Friends or Hung Empty alongside the live classics.
