7 days of All Hell.
You have shown us so much love and kindness.
We wanted to find a way to return that.

Last Chance for Deluxe Edition
On Monday we released a Deluxe Edition of All Hell, featuring the full album, plus 5 new versions of songs and the first LC! cover-song since 2014.
I meant to include one of the versions for you to listen to, but in my excitement I forgot. So, click below to listen to Long Throes (Punks on the Playlist version).
We’re very proud of these renditions, and they’re a worthy addition to our back catalogue, but we’ve admitted there’s an ulterior motive.
TODAY IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO BUY THE DELUXE EDITION. It comes off sale at midnight tonight.
We’re in an odd situation where this looks likely to be our first ever Top 40 Album. We are currently in 10th position, but later today the streaming stats will be added to the charts and our position will plummet. This week when we’ve been sent the chart updates it’s been impossible for us not to notice that we’re the only independent band in the whole of the Top 40. As we scroll down the list, every other artist has financial backing from major labels, be it Sony, Warner or Universal. We can’t compete with that, nor would we ever want to. But what we do have is worth more than money to us, and that’s this connection with you lot. If you have a spare fiver, even if you’ve already purchased a CD or LP, please pick up the digital download too, to show that a self-funded, self-releasing, self-managed band can hang with the big boys. DIY or die.
IF YOU PURCHASE THE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD, PLEASE ALSO DOWNLOAD THE FILES, OTHERWISE IT DOESN’T COUNT AS A CHART SALE
Thanks for Coming to the Instores!
We didn’t used to enjoy doing these acoustic things very much, but I’m very pleased to say that has changed, and we had a really fantastic time at the start of this week, playing to you in Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds and Liverpool. I think this time around we just made better choices about what songs to perform and how to arrange them, and the vibe in the room for each show was perfect. Also it was so nice to get to meet so many of you, to sign your records, take photos and generally share smiles. Thanks for celebrating this release week with us!
For those of you that are curious, here’s the set we played:
A Psychic Wound // Long Throes // To Hell in a Handjob // Feast of Tongues // kms // I. Spit // Glue Me // Hate for the Island // For Flotsam // Straight in at 101 // Adult Acne Stigmata
Set up: Gareth (vocals), Kim (vocals and egg shaker), Rob (keys, banjo, egg shaker and vocals), Tom (guitar and vocals).
‘To Hell in a Handjob’ Tabs
Tom: “I think this is the first record of ours with songs written in open tunings? I made the mistake of leaving a guitar round the flat in this tuning, so a lot of ideas ended up getting written this way. On the recording we doubled the guitar with a baritone for a little extra beef, that’s what’s panned either side. This is roughly the picking pattern, but it varies and might change when we play it live. I’ll possibly end up strumming the whole thing using the same shapes, could be a bit fiddly after a few drinks but harder to hit wrong notes in an open tuning at least!
Physical Album Still Available!
Of course, the physical album is also still available to pick up (and that counts towards chart sales too!). Maybe you’re not really one for physical media, but I can assure you this album is a beauty on vinyl, CD and cassette. We’re down to the last 200 copies of the Harvest Moon variant, worldwide, so that’s one to grab quickly if you were hoping to own it.
I’m a long-time subscriber to When Saturday Comes, the world’s finest soccer magazine, so was really pleased to be invited onto their podcast for a chat. Listen from 31 minutes to hear me in their feature The Final Third, where I contribute a match, a player and an object to the WSC Museum of Football. Stream on Spotify, Apple or at their website.
Last night we smashed through an r/indieheads AMA on Reddit. A really fantastic turnout with hundreds of questions asked. If you’ve got some spare time to scroll maybe you’ll wanna go back and check it out.
Next time we write we’ll tell you who’s playing our September UK Shows with us.
One last time…if you can afford to support us by spending £5 on the digital deluxe version of All Hell, we’ll be incredibly grateful. Please also download the files to ensure the sale counts toward the charts.
All Hell Autumn is around the corner.
With love and eternal thanks,
LC! x
